Jimmy Johns employees foil robbery attempt by not opening cash register

OPD Press Release:  A suspect made an unsuccessful attempt to rob the Jimmy John’s at 108th & Maple Street Sunday evening. Officers responded to the restaurant at 6:10 pm.

Employees told officers that a black male, approximately 6 foot tall, wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, entered the business, showed a gun and demanded money.

The suspect left the business after employees told him they could not open the register.
