Male Shows Up At Creighton ER Suffering From Overnight Gunshot Wound

A male walked into Creighton University Medical Center after being shot overnight.  The call came into police of a walk in shooting victim around 9:46 PM on Wednesday.  After questioning the man, who has been identified as 24 year old Stewart Grimes, officers discovered a possible scene near 40th and Spaulding St.

The victim said he was in a residence when he heard a knock on the door around 9:30 PM.  An unknown suspect reportedly fired from outside of the house and fled.  A round went through the door and struck Grimes.

One person sustained non-life threatening injuries during a shooting Wednesday night. Officers responded to CHI Creighton University Medical Center at 9:46 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of a walk-in shooting victim. The victim, Stewart Grimes (7/30/92) said that he was in a residence near 40th and Spaulding when he heard a knock on the door. An unknown suspect then fired a gun from outside of the house. A round went through the door of the residence and struck Grimes.
