Early morning cutting at Creighton University sends victim to hospital

Omaha Police and Medics rushed to Gallagher Hall at Creighton University early this morning after a 911 call report of a cutting.

The victim, 18 year old Teresa Spagna, was located just after 1:10 a.m. suffering from non-life-threatening injuries and transported to the Nebraska Medical Center for treatment. The victim provided a description of the suspect and multiple officers converged on the building to assist with the search.

19 year old Christopher Wheeler was interviewed and later arrested for felony assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and obstructing an officer.
