Omaha Firefighters battled a stubborn vacant structure fire in Northeast Omaha for over an hour today.
Firefighters were dispatched to 2805 Pinkney Street for a report of a structure fire at about 1:40 p.m.
Fire crews experienced heavy smoke and flame conditions upon initial fire attack and assumed a defensive firefighting posture soon after arrival.
Firefighters utilized deck gun monitors, aerial master streams, and hand lines for over one hour to contain and quench the fire.
