Thousands of people marched in downtown Omaha to support women’s rights and protest the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
The march started at CenturyLink Center at about 6:00 p.m. and extended for blocks around the Downtown and Old Market area, eventually circling back to the CenturyLink Center.
Police estimated the crowd to be as many as 18,000, making this one of the largest march rallies in recent Omaha history.
The crowd was peaceful and orderly, shouting chants of “Say it loud, say it clear, everyone is welcome here”, “What do we want!? Human rights!!! When do we want it!? Now!”, and “Say it loud! Say it clear! We want Trump out of here!
