West Omaha Home Invasion Leaves One Shot Overnight

Omaha Police were called to to 15117 Davenport Circle, which is just South of Dodge St., regarding a shooting on Thursday, January 26th at 11:53 p.m.

Upon further investigation it was revealed that the owner of the residence was returning home when he was confronted by two unknown suspects.  The suspects then assaulted the victim and forced him inside his residence.

At one point during the incident, the victim’s son was shot and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.  The suspects fled the area before officers arrived.  Initial scanner reports indicated that the suspects were 2 black males, one was 6 feet tall.  However, no more suspect details are available.

The shooting victim was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center for treatment.
