A wrong way drunk driver injured a Carter Lake teenager in a head on collision on Abbott Drive this morning.
Injury Accident: Abbott Drive and Riverfront Drive

At 2:52 a.m. this morning Omaha police, fire, and medics rushed to the scene of a two car injury accident on Abbott Drive just east of Riverfront Drive.
Police say a white 2007 Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it drove head on into a blue 1992 Honda Prelude driven by an 18 year old Carter Lake teenager.
Both drivers were the only occupants of their vehicles and were wearing seat belts. Both were transported to CHI Creighton University Medical Center by ambulance to be treated for serious injuries.

43 year old Carl Tabler of Omaha was cited for DUI, driving in the wrong lane, and no proof of insurance. He is being treated for a serious leg injury requiring surgery that is not believed to be life-threatening.
18 year old Daniel E. Hernandez of Carter Lake Iowa is being treated for a serious concussion that is not believed to be life-threatening.
